Mel C is said to be single again after breaking up with her boyfriend of seven years, Joe Marshall.
Spice, 48, is mum to daughter Scarlett, 13, and her ex Thomas Starr, with music executive Joe, who is in her 40s, since December 2015.
He even became her agent, and the couple moved to North London with Scarlett and his two children.
But a music industry source told The Sun (07.08.22) on Sunday: “Mel has had a very busy career between her book deals, DJing and other projects.
“She does spend a bit of her free time with her daughter, Scarlett, and that doesn’t leave much time for romance.”
The insider added that the breakup was “friendly,” but stressed that Mel “is not afraid to be single if she thinks it’s for the best.”
Mel and Joe are known for keeping their relationship relatively unnoticed, despite living and raising children together.
She said of him in an interview with Closer in 2016: “He challenged me, but respected and loved me. I don’t think I’ve ever been in a relationship where someone supported me.”
Talking about her split from ex-Thomas in 2012, Mel admitted her daughter provided the motivation behind the split.
She told Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs: “I make big decisions. It’s hard to leave her dad, but I’m not happy, she’s not happy, and it’s not an environment I want my kids to grow up in.”
