The developer and asset manager of Yas Island and its theme park owner/operator, Miral, have announced that SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will open to the public on May 23.
The next-generation sea life theme park will tell a “One Ocean” story, revealing the interconnectedness between life on Earth and the oceans. SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will offer engaging and immersive family-friendly experiences through its eight uniquely themed areas, including up-close encounters with animals, rides, entertainment and unrivaled dining and shopping experiences.
A partnership between Miral and SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi’s eight zones can be explored across five indoor floors, and at approximately 183,000 square meters, the Endless Ocean Zone will be home to the largest and most expansive multi-species aquarium in the world.
The aquarium will hold more than 25 million liters of water and will be a dynamic habitat for more than 68,000 species of marine animals, including sharks, schools of fish, manta rays and turtles. Based on the interconnectedness between all life on Earth and the oceans, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will take visitors through its unified ocean story through the tropics, the rocky shores of the Pacific Northwest, the Arabian Gulf, the vast ocean and its smaller oceans. At Polar Ocean Kingdom, guests can enjoy an immersive journey, indulge in gourmet dining, explore retail outlets, and visit a large research vessel filled with fun, interactive ways to learn more about these diverse regions and their inhabitants.
Small is big when visiting MicroOcean Kingdom, and small matters as guests are swept away by the tide and feel shrunk to the size of plankton. In this area, guests will have the opportunity to explore the small wonders of the ocean, with colorful, immersive designs that highlight the vital role of the ocean’s smallest sea creatures. Featuring family-friendly rides, children’s play areas, whimsical characters and performers, fun retail, and dynamic experiments, MicroOcean takes young explorers on an unforgettable educational journey.
Beyond the small wonder of the ocean lies the vastness of the endless ocean realm. With the world’s largest multi-species aquarium, stunning observation decks and glimpses of sea caves from the 20m viewing window (aptly named Endless Vista), the possibilities in this realm truly are endless endless.
