Mohammed bin Rashid, the Vice President of the UAE, pays a visit to SeaWorld Yas Island.

Abu Dhabi, UAE – 12th July (ANI/WAM) : Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, visited Yas Island Marine World in Abu Dhabi. This marine life theme park is not only the first of its kind in the region but also the first Sea World park outside the United States. During his visit, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid was briefed on the various facilities of this expansive educational and entertainment complex, which serves as a significant addition to the UAE’s tourism offerings.

In his comments on the visit, His Highness highlighted the UAE’s world-class infrastructure, developed through strong public-private partnerships, which contribute to positioning the country as a leading global tourist destination. He emphasized the park’s role in promoting awareness about marine environment conservation. Sheikh Mohammed was also acquainted with the diverse educational and entertainment experiences offered in the park’s eight zones, featuring marine habitats from around the world, ranging from the frozen polar regions to tropical areas. Covering an area of 183,000 square meters across five floors, SeaWorld Yas Island offers a remarkable experience.

Furthermore, His Highness learned about SeaWorld Yas Island’s commitment to marine life conservation through its Research and Rescue Centre, the first facility of its kind in the region dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating marine life. This center aligns with the UAE’s dedication to protecting the marine environment and biodiversity. During the tour, Sheikh Mohammed visited the world’s largest water basin of its kind, housing approximately 25 million liters of water and home to around 68,000 diverse marine species. He also explored World Abu Dhabi within SeaWorld Yas Island, where visitors can discover the essence of marine life in the Gulf waters and explore the maritime heritage of the UAE and the region.

Yas Island SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is the latest addition to the entertainment offerings on Yas Island, developed by Miral, a leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences in Abu Dhabi, in partnership with SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, a global leader in theme parks and entertainment.
