Ministry of Culture and Tourism (DCT)-Abu Dhabi informed tourism and hotel agencies in the notice that hotel staff are not allowed to leave the hotel during these times.
The service facilities of the Abu Dhabi hotel will operate at 50% capacity. The capacity reduction applies to restaurants, gyms, spas, swimming pools and private beaches.
The only exception is hotel room check-in.
“Please note that hotels and tourist agencies will be inspected by DCT-Abu Dhabi inspectors to verify compliance with these instructions,” the notice said. “We hope that you abide by what we have said and avoid taking legal measures against offenders in accordance with current legislation.”
Movement restrictions are one of Abu Dhabi’s comprehensive Covid-19 security measures, which will take effect tomorrow, the first day of the Eid al-Adha holiday, on July 19.
Other measures are new testing and access rules; reducing the capacity of shopping malls, movie theaters and other public places.
