National Geographic magazine listed Dubai’s “Museum of the Future” as one of the 14 most beautiful museums in the world because of its stunning architecture and advanced technological innovation.

Al Gergawi added: “The museum showcases the UAE and the world’s gateway to the future with its design and the latest technology. The engineering logo positions Dubai as a testing ground for emerging technologies and a platform for talents, inventors and creative professionals from all over the world. Explore the base to solve the biggest challenge that will shape the future of mankind. After completion, the museum will give visitors a glimpse of the future.”

Covering an area of ​​30,000 square meters, it has a seven-story column-free structure and is 77 meters high. The stainless steel façade covers an area of ​​more than 17,000 square meters and is illuminated by 14,000 meters of Arabic calligraphy designed by UAE artist Mattar bin Lahej.

The museum is also connected by two bridges. The first bridge extends to the 69-meter-long Jumeirah Emirates Towers, and the second is connected to the 212-meter-long Emirates Towers Metro Station.

The Arabic calligraphy decorating the facade includes the famous words of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. One of the famous sayings is: “We may not live for hundreds of years, but our creative products can leave a legacy long after we leave.” “The future belongs to those who can imagine, design and execute… The future will not wait… …The future can be designed and built today.”

The façade consists of 1,024 panels made entirely by robots, which is the first enterprise in the Middle East. Each panel of the façade consists of four layers, and each layer is completed through 16 process steps. The installation period of the facade is more than 18 months, and each panel is installed separately.

As a model of sustainable development in creative design, the Dubai Museum of the Future is powered by 4,000 MW of solar energy generated by a station connected to the building in cooperation with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority. Upon completion, the museum will be the first museum in the Middle East to receive platinum certification for environmental energy and design leadership, the highest rating for green buildings in the world.

The park surrounding the museum has 80 kinds of plants and is equipped with the most advanced intelligent automatic irrigation system.

The Museum of the Future has won the Tikla International Architecture Award as a unique architectural model. Autodesk Design Software stated that the museum is one of the most innovative buildings in the world. The building was designed by engineer Sean Keila.
