  1. How did you start your business?

Over 23 years ago, my father initiated the venture of electronic distribution. He really wanted his business to be one of the best in the region. Driven by a potent blend of ambition and foresight, he recognized the growing potential of the electronics market and seized the opportunity to carve out a leading segment within it. He worked hard to make his company great, always trying to give customers the best service. Now, looking back on all the years, we’re still inspired by his hard work and want to keep making our company better and better.

  1. What are your goals?

We want to grow our business all around the world, continue building new partnerships and make sure to stay at the forefront of technological advancements. Alton General Trading LLC aspires to be the go-to source for businesses seeking reliable wholesale electronics with a guarantee of quality and affordability.

  1. What is your and your company’s biggest strength?

Our greatest strength lies in the collective expertise, dedication, and passion of our team members.   1. What experiences and steps led you to the place where you are today?

Our journey to where we are today has been all about aiming for the best quality and service, right from the start. We’ve always believed in giving our clients nothing less than excellence. This belief runs through everything we do in our business, guiding every choice we make. Along the way, we’ve learned a lot from both our successes and our challenges. By always trying to improve and working towards perfection, we’ve made our processes better, grown our abilities, and gained the trust of many clients. Every deal, every interaction, and every step forward has helped us evolve and succeed. Looking ahead, we’re still dedicated to excellence, ready to keep surpassing what our clients expect and setting new standards in our industry.

  1. Why did this industry interest you and how did you get started?

Since my early years, I observed my father’s profound enthusiasm for this particular field. Witnessing his dedication and the way he held the business close to his heart helped me understand the depth of effort and affection he invested in it to bring it where it is at the moment. Moreover, I learned a lot about the business directly from him. His guidance, teachings, and hands-on experience became my foundation, allowing me to absorb valuable lessons and insights that have shaped my understanding and passion for the industry.

  1. Describe the biggest challenge you’ve had to tackle in running your business.

The biggest challenge faced by us in running our business was when we had decided to expand our business outside The region and into parts of Africa and Russia. It is rightly said that “Teamwork makes the dream work”, and with a team that stuck with the company through its ups and downs we easily overcame the problem and now our reach extends far and wide, with a significant footprint in the African region and Russia.

  1. Tell us something about yourself that many people you work with don’t know.

Many of my colleagues might not know that I’m an avid organic gardener in my spare time. I spend weekends tending to my garden, growing a variety of flowers and plant. It’s not only a fulfilling hobby but also a way for me to stay connected to nature and helps me focus on the present moment which helps me to relax.

  1. What is a typical day like for you?

Usually, my day begins with a refreshing morning routine, which includes light exercise or meditation to prepare myself for the day ahead. I then dive into work, focusing on tasks with efficiency and purpose. Throughout the day, you engage with colleagues, collaborate on projects, and together solve challenges effectively. In the evening, spending quality time with my family helps me fill up my energy. I make sure to have gotten a good night’s sleep to refill my energy for the next day. 

  1. Describe a time where you and your team had to think and act strategically.

In developing a new line of home appliances and personal care electronics for parts of Africa, strategic planning was essential. We focused on energy efficiency, affordability, and local needs. Partnerships with local manufacturers were crucial. But thanks to our team’s quick planning and decision-making skills, we overcame challenges by maintaining open communication, accepting innovative solutions and adjusting our strategies based on real-life feedback from the market. Thus, we successfully introduced innovative products to improve daily life in Africa.

  1. What values have helped you overcome challenges in your career? Tell us about a time that you led others to success.

In my career, some key values have been super important, like don’t giving up when things get tough, being able to adapt to change, working together with others, and most importantly always doing what’s right. Whenever things got tricky, we got creative and found new ways to solve the problems. We also made sure to be honest and fair, which helped us all trust each other and our client. Together, we achieved success and made something awesome, showing me how important these values are in real life.
