There is nothing like spending a peaceful day on the water in summer. One of the most popular attractions in the Summit County area is the Dillon Reservoir, and the Frisco Bay Marina offers a variety of activities.
Despite less rental income than last year, Frisco Bay Marina’s summer 2022 remains solid with solid visitor traffic. This is because of the location and products offered by the marina.
“The Pier is an incredible location, perched at the end of Frisco’s charming Main Street, with views of Mount Royal, Grace and Torres,” said Logan Snyder, general manager of the Pier. “I also think it’s a very family-friendly place where you can spend a day or a few days.”
Snyder believes that people can come to the marina for many days, in large part because of the variety of recreational activities such as paddle boarding, fishing, boating, canoeing and kayaking. There are also beaches, live music and family dining options. Whether guests want to be on the water, or would rather stay ashore with their feet in the sand, the Marina has something for every member of the family.
That, combined with its proximity to downtown Frisco and the Frisco Peninsula recreation area, is why it won Best Family Fun in the 2022 Best of Summit competition.
Snyder noted that guests could easily spend a day at the pier followed by a delicious dinner in downtown Frisco, or an afternoon bike ride on the peninsula.
“I think in Frisco, all of these areas complement each other,” Snyder said.
In the coming seasons, Frisco Bay Marina plans to continue developing operations outside of the Frisco Bay Landing Building, which opened last summer, and to landscaping the area.
“It’s going to be a big, great lawn park area,” Snyder said. “The park will be expanded so it will be a great place for people to meet. There are also future plans to expand the Island Grill and then build a bathroom to provide more bathrooms and showers.”
