Suspension can last from six months to two years for certain offenses
The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) has identified four violations that could lead to companies suspending new work permits. These violations are defined in the newly announced resolution.
they are:
1. Violation of the provisions of Cabinet Resolution No. 21 of 2020 on service charges and administrative fines and its amendments.
2. Failure to provide appropriate labor accommodation. In such cases, corporate documents will be administratively suspended until the required accommodations are provided to the employee.
3. Allegations of Human Trafficking. In such cases, the offending company will be suspended until proven innocent. The suspension will last for two years after the final verdict of conviction against the company.
4. Abuse of electronic authority granted to the company to access the Ministry’s systems. In this case, the company’s files will be administratively suspended within six months from the date of the proven violation.
