Newlisi Demonstrates Sewage Sludge Reduction Technology at Wetex

Newlisi SpA will showcase its sewage sludge reduction and energy recovery technologies at the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (Wetex) opening in Dubai today.

Organised by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa), the event will take place on September 29 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The company will describe the environmental, social and economic benefits of its technology. The Wam news agency reports that the Newlisi process, developed about a decade ago and patented in 38 countries, reduces sludge disposal by more than 70% and significantly increases biogas production when combined with anaerobic digestion.

The Newlisi process can be used in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants with the benefits of reduced risk and lower operating costs; the solution is suitable for any plant, with or without an anaerobic digester.

Our technology is now mature and has been deployed on a real scale for almost eight years.
