The fourth edition of Dubai Ride, presented by DP World, is set to transform Sheikh Zayed Road into a vast cycling track. This flagship event of the Dubai Fitness Challenge will take place on November 12 and offers two route options: a 12 km course from Dubai World Trade Centre to Safa Park, featuring a scenic climb over the Dubai Canal Bridge, and a 4 km Downtown family route along Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, passing landmarks like the Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera, and Burj Khalifa. Registrations are open on the official website, welcoming riders of all fitness levels. With support from Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, this event allows participants to explore the city’s landmarks from a unique perspective.
Dubai Ride is a beloved highlight of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, an initiative launched in 2017 by Dubai’s Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aimed at making Dubai one of the world’s most active cities. In 2022, the event saw record participation with 34,897 cyclists coming together to promote health and fitness.
Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), emphasized the event’s importance, saying, “Dubai Ride, presented by DP World, has become a cornerstone event on the Dubai Fitness Challenge calendar.”
Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, highlighted the event’s inclusivity and its promotion of a healthy, active lifestyle, attracting participants from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.
