I think some of those [strong] Relationships are like, ‘I know this player. I saw him in the weight room. I’ve seen him watch his movies in practice. I’m sure he’s dialed in and he’s going to do his job. So probably some of that will be with us and I’m sure we’ll be leaning on that again, hopefully over the next four games. “
That connection was certainly tested in Minnesota’s Week 15 game against Indianapolis. The Colts took advantage of a Vikings error to take a 33-0 halftime lead. But Minnesota persevered, kept fighting, and eventually won 39-36 in overtime, completing the biggest comeback in NFL history.
Afterwards, Stormtrooper Danielle Hunter said, “I feel like in some games, because of the connection we have, sometimes it magically wins us games. Because we can execute like we always have.”
