NH Collection Oasis Doha Appoints Daniel Méndez as General Manager


  • Méndez’s proven track record in overseeing pre-opening and opening hotel projects in Europe and Africa makes him the ideal choice to lead the first NH Collection hotel to open in Qatar.
  • Daniel will lead an experienced multinational team with a strong background in launching landmark hotels and resorts.

NH Collection Oasis Doha Hotel is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Méndez as General Manager of the hotel and beach club ahead of its opening in early 2023.

Daniel is a Spanish national with nearly twenty years of executive management experience in NH Hotels, part of the Minor Group. Méndez took several progressive steps in his career, expanding his depth of knowledge.

With a focus on excellence in guest satisfaction and operational efficiency, Daniel began his executive career in his native Madrid and then in Cape Town as General Manager of NH The Lord Charles.

A passionate hotelier, Méndez has a proven track record of leading change to impact performance. His extensive career has taken him to 3 different continents, where he ensures that not only his guests are well looked after, but his team members are also looked after, motivated to grow and develop.

Méndez previously led two prestigious NH Collection projects, NH Collection Flower Market and NH Museum Quarter in Amsterdam as Cluster General Manager, and NH Collection Brussels Grand Sablon, contributing to maintaining its market leadership.

With extensive knowledge of luxury hotel management, Daniel will further enhance the regional and global positioning of NH Collection Oasis Doha Hotel.

NH Collection Oasis Doha Hotel will Welcome guests with extraordinary hospitality. The new hotel will feature a selection of signature dining venues, including a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, two lounges and a relaxing pool bar. Other hotel facilities will include a well-equipped fitness centre, a kids’ club, NH Collection spa, four paddle courts and a relaxing rooftop lounge with stunning views of the Doha skyline.
