Nicholas Lyndhurst has starred in the “Fraser” sequel series.
The 61-year-old actor, who has previously starred in British sitcoms including Only Fools and Horses and Goodnight Honey, will soon be starring alongside Kelsey Grammer in the upcoming series, Variety reports. Rivalry.
Nicholas has actually become the first actor confirmed to return to the sitcom, which previously ran from 1993 to 2004.
Nicholas and Kelsey, 67, also co-starred in their performance of “The Man from La Mancha” at the London Coliseum.
The Paramount franchise’s official log has teased details of the show.
It read: “Frazier is going to another city, with new challenges, new relationships, and an old dream or two to live out. Frazier has re-entered the building!”
The storyline also provides some insight into Nicholas’ character, Alan Cornwall.
It read: “British, alcoholic, larger than life, Alan’s wit equals Fraser’s – if he ever wanted to use it. Alan’s pranks may be just what Fraser used to change him everyday reasons, and Fraser’s thoughtful guidance may help Allen find the direction he’s been missing in his own life.”
Last year, Kelsey promised that some familiar faces would return in the “Brotherhood of Joy” reboot.
The actor, who plays the lead on the series, shared: “A lot of peripheral characters in Fraser’s life will definitely be returning. Some of them will show up. Some are not regulars, but may show up later.”
“Fraiser,” a spin-off of the sitcom “Cheers,” the hit TV show starring David Hyde Pierce, Jane Reeves, and John Mahoney, who died in February 2018 at 77 years old.
