BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Samaj UAE thanks Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Odisha Cabinet for fulfilling the longstanding request for direct flights between Bhubaneswar and Dubai.

This is a huge relief to the 20,000 Odia families in the UAE and another 25,000 in the extended Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region as it will significantly reduce travel time and bring great convenience, Odisha President Amiya Kumar Mishra Samaj UAE Amiya Kumar Mishra and all members said in a letter to the Chief Minister.

They said the direct connection will not only help local Odias but also increase tourist flow. OSUAE wishes the Chief Minister a long life and an inspirational leader for many years to come and assures him of his full support in realizing his dream of making Odisha the number one state.
