Puttery’s Houston location, a new mini-golf entertainment complex announced in 2021, will open on September 12 at 1818 Washington Avenue in Houston, between Tacodeli and B&B’s The Butcher Shop.
The project is being led by Drive Shack Inc., which already operates multiple locations in other cities including Dallas; Washington, D.C.; and Charlotte.
In a statement, Drive Shack President and CEO Hana Khouri said, “As a Houston native, I’m very excited about this opening. Houston is already known internationally for its cutting-edge entertainment and culinary innovations, but I can vouch for Puttery It will provide an experience unlike anywhere else in the city.”
The new two-level venue will feature multiple bars, three nine-hole putting greens, and DJs and other live music.
Each of the three courses has a theme. The first course is themed around a Rocky Mountain cabin with a wall fireplace and a ski lift.
According to a Sept. 9 press release, the second course is library-themed, featuring bookshelves and entertainment for the Dicynodon dinosaur. The third course is a greenhouse theme, including a desert vibe of redwoods, cacti, and cherry blossoms.
Guests must be at least 21 years old to enter Puttery, which also hosts private events.
