Such fireworks will light up the night sky as hundreds of people gather at Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre for the National Day Show.
Wilkes-Barre – The City of Wilkes-Barre’s Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration will be held at Kirby Park on Tuesday, July 4th from 12:00pm to 10:00pm
The Wilkes-Barre celebration features live music and entertainment from local artists, as well as food and crafts from local vendors. A fireworks display will light up the sky before nightfall, and there will be rides and games.
Mayor George C. Brown will welcome everyone at noon, followed by an opening act by Triple Fret, voted the best of 2023’s best musical groups by our readers. Later, bands Idol Kings, Eddie Day and The Star Fires, and Crush were in the lineup. You can also watch the Pennsylvania Skydiving Demonstration Team perform an American Flag skydive at 1:30 p.m., and Miss Pennsylvania Junior Volunteer 2023 Hannah Fox will sing the national anthem.
The event is free to attend and open to the public. The park is closed after the fireworks display. Park regulations prohibit personal fireworks, pyrotechnics, smoking, alcoholic beverages, and glass containers.
