Peta Murgatroyd shares ‘beautiful newborn stage’ with Baby Rio

The professional dancer shared that her two-week-old baby boy was filming the video as she prepared to take him to the doctor’s office for his first appointment. Peta, 36, also apologized to those she didn’t have time to contact, promising them, “I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.”

Peta told her followers that she is trying to find the balance of spending time with Rio while making sure she can be with herself and Mark’s 6-year-old son Shay in time.

“They say going from one to two is a lot, and I don’t think it’s an overwhelming lot, but it’s just, you have to prioritize now,” she shared. “I really make sure I have everything set up for Rio, like going to bed at a certain time so I can be with Shay. I can read to him in his room, put him to bed, do some thing.” “It’s our usual bedtime, so he feels like he’s on a one-on-one date with me, which I love. I know he really appreciates it and loves that.”

Alongside her update, Peta told her followers that she looked forward to sharing the story behind the Rio delivery.

“I’d love to tell you the story of how I got to the hospital, what happened when I got there, all that,” she joked. “Let’s just say I’m one of those women who has to provide an insurance card between every contraction. I can barely speak. It’s a great story anyway. Max got there on time, obviously, but It’s wilderness.”

Midnight racing to the hospital, not sure if @maksimc will make it, spent hours on Mr. Rio until he found the perfect spot to push him out in 4 pushes… …he’s right here, he’s heaven ✨ There was a split second after birth and I looked at my mom and said, “Did you text daddy? ’ … Tears welled up in my eyes when I realized I forgot he was gone. It was a moment for me. I knew I felt his spirit there, and I knew he was going to look down and protect us here Everyone. Thank god @maksimc got there just in time 🙏🏻 He only had a 4.5 hour drive from Napa Valley to West Hollywood lol.”
