Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistani Ambassador to the UAE, has urged Emirati investors and the business community to explore investment opportunities in the country.
The ambassador, who assumed his new role last month, visited the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) as part of introductory meetings with local businessmen and investors.
Tirmizi called on Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, Director General of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and expressed appreciation for the policies adopted by ADCCI for the economic development of the UAE and the facilitation of Abu Dhabi enterprises. According to the Khaleej times report, he emphasized the strengthening of ADCCI’s cooperation with the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and frequent B2B visits.
The Ambassador also briefed Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri on Pakistan’s investment regime and policies to facilitate investment. He invited the Director General and members of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce to visit Pakistan to explore investment opportunities in the country.
The parties agreed to launch a project each in Pakistan and the UAE to further strengthen B2B ties between the two countries.
Earlier, the ambassador also met SCCI Chairman Abdullah Sultan Al Owais and discussed ways to enhance trade and investment cooperation between the UAE and Pakistan.
Tirmizi highlighted Pakistan’s friendly economic policies, investment opportunities and ease of doing business, and invited the chairman and members of the Chamber of Commerce to visit Pakistan to explore the huge economic opportunities, especially in the country’s hospitality and tourism sectors. He also invited the chamber of commerce to participate in an international trade show scheduled to be held in Pakistan in February 2023. —APP
