[ad_1]

Beesville – The Beesville Firefighters Festival returns to the country park, bringing live music and a variety of free entertainment to the community.

At the opening ceremony, members of the Guernsey Guard of Honor raised the flag, the crowd stood up, folded their hands, and the national anthem was played on the sound system. Mayor Jay Jackson and Beesville Emergency Services (EMS) Superintendent Jeremy Rice welcomed the crowd and kicked off the annual event.

Festive royal coronation ahead of parade, Kaylee Bacon wins, Noah Rice wins, King, Alexis Bacon wins, Ethan McLeary (Ethan Mackley) was named Prince.

The downpour did not stop the festive parade, with fire trucks roaring through the village and sweets being tossed to umbrella-bearing onlookers.

Live music was a highlight of the festival, with Wade Rodriguez and Tracy Blaine performing ahead of Friday night’s headline “Southerland.”

The crowds were back on Saturday as participants took turns playing giant bounce houses or trying to win glass shards in the quarter toss.

There are a number of food trucks at the event, including Eve’s Daiquiri’s, an ice cream truck, and Burrito Buggy from Athens. Vendors have set up tents throughout the park, selling shirts, mugs and even treats from Beesville’s own Pure Love Bakery.

Cars lined up at the auto show, and performances by Wild Heart, Josh Ackley, Bo Jamison and Haley Bundy elicited Saturday’s headliner was Adam Calvert.

The two-day festival capped off another successful year with the Beesville Explosion fireworks display at the park.
