Partnership expands MEA’s EV charging infrastructure

[ad_1]

Admiral Energy, a company specializing in the development and design of integrated zero-emission energy solutions, has announced a major agreement with Autel to bring electric vehicle chargers to the Middle East and Africa (MEA) market.

The chargers have already been tested in the UAE and will meet the region’s growing demand for electric vehicles. The UAE government alone estimates that 70,000 electric vehicle charging points will be needed by 2030 to meet the growing demand for greener transport.

The strategic partnership represents a commitment by Admiral Energy (part of Admiral Global DMCC) to supply chargers to the UAE from July 2023, with plans to roll out chargers across the region. As COP28 looms, the press announcement underscores Admiral Energy and Autel’s ambitions to serve the Middle East’s fast-growing electric vehicle industry as the companies shift to greener solutions for their commercial fleets.

High Speed DC Charging Solution

A stand-alone high-speed DC charging solution will be available for fleet and commercial applications, with Admiral Energy working closely with Autel to develop a charger especially suited for the GCC market. The electric vehicle market in the GCC is expected to reach $6.7 billion by 2027, as logistics and tourism activities in the region increase and conventional vehicles are replaced by zero-emission models.

Announced at Adnec’s Electric Vehicle Innovation Summit (EVIS), the charger range includes five DC charging solutions ranging from 47kW DC Compact to 400kW DC charger solutions. Compatible with 99.5% of models, auxiliary equalization, healthy charging, and battery life increased by 20%.

These chargers will be provided to Admiral Energy’s partners and resellers to further support their journey to carbon neutrality.

The announcement builds on Admiral Mobility’s news earlier this month that it was partnering with AVIS UAE to offer EV trucks to the rental market, and last December’s announcement of a strategic partnership with Geely’s Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group for The rental market offers electric trucks. 5,000 electric commercial vehicles sent to the Middle East.

More charging devices

Graham Bremer, Chief Marketing Officer of Admiral Global DMCC and Managing Director of Admiral Mobility, commented: “We will bring more charging units to the market to help provide a more sustainable infrastructure for the electric vehicle industry. Our partnership with Autel means we are Working closely with EV product experts to help create an ecosystem in the region will take us a big step closer to carbon neutrality.

“Demand for electric vehicle charging stations is high, especially in the UAE, and to support the government’s ambitious vision for sustainable modes of transport, deep understanding and technical expertise are required to realize the opportunities presented by this rapid expansion.

“As COP28 approaches, we’re making it increasingly easy for companies to switch to greener modes of transportation; we can provide them with electric trucks and charging stations to accelerate their sustainability goals.”

key role

Claire Zuo, Regional Director of Autel IMEA, said: “We play a key role in accelerating the region’s electric vehicle infrastructure, and we look forward to helping build a commercial vehicle industry that will ultimately provide consumers with greener and more sustainable operations. .”

The chargers are expected to be available in July 2023. It was previously reported that global EV sales are expected to reach 14 million this year, up from 10 million last year, according to the International Energy Agency’s Global Electric Vehicle Outlook. — trade arab news agency
