[ad_1]

Pfizer launches “Know.” plan. go. ‘ campaign in Gulf countries to raise awareness of viral respiratory diseases and what people can do to help prevent serious illness.

Viral respiratory infections typically peak in winter, but some can be transmitted year-round. For individuals with pre-existing chronic conditions, careful planning for their healthcare needs is critical to avoid progression to severe viral respiratory infections and worsening disease outcomes.

People with certain underlying health conditions, such as diabetes, heart or lung disease, high blood pressure, obesity, a weakened immune system, or those 60 and over may suffer from common viral respiratory infections such as colds, flu, or bronchiolitis.

time to plan

If a person knows that they or a loved one may be more likely to become seriously ill from a viral respiratory infection, it’s time to make a plan if they begin to develop symptoms such as fever or chills, cough, stuffy or runny nose, and headache.

The plan revolves around knowing who to contact and where to go for treatment, as well as keeping a list of medications you take (including vitamins and supplements) up to date and ready to share with healthcare professionals. Acting quickly on a plan and talking to a healthcare professional can be the key to helping prevent serious illness, including hospitalization.

So Pfizer’s in the know. plan. go. ‘ The campaign focuses on three pillars: ‘Know if you or someone you love is at high risk of serious complications from a viral respiratory infection’, ‘Work with your healthcare professional to create a plan in case you catch the virus’ and “If You Have an Infection, See Your Doctor”Experience Symptoms to Discuss Which Treatments May Be Right for Your Disease”. Know. Plan. Go encourages people to be proactive by being informed, prepared and ready to act.
