pianist Connor Harnick will debut in the Santa Ynez Valley (SYV) concert series at St. Mark’s in-the-Valley, 2901 Nojoqui Ave., Los Olivos, Wednesday, March 1 at 7pm.
“We are very pleased to welcome the Connor Harnick to the Santa Ynez Valley Concert Series,” said Artistic Director Robert Cassidy. “Conor’s renditions of works by Berg, Galina Ustvolskaya, Ligeti and Beethoven promise to be convincing and illuminating. ”
Concertgoers will enjoy the performance featured on a 9-foot Steinway Concert Grand Model D. Typically, SYV concert series performances use the Steinway B (sometimes called the “Perfect Piano”), which measures 7 feet.
“Thank you to our friends at the Santa Barbara Western Conservatory for helping us secure this special instrument for this performance,” Cassidy said.
As part of his residency in the area, Harnik There will be a masterclass at St. Mark’s on Tuesday, February 28th at 5pm. Selected local students will participate. This course is free to attend.
