Plus-size lifestyle brand MULU launches in UAE

DUBAI, UAE – MULU, the lifestyle fashion brand for plus-size women, today announced the opening of a new office in Dubai as part of its MEA expansion plans.

Formerly known as Kanessa, the fashion label was previously based in the Netherlands, where it launched its e-commerce business in 2018. The brand is sold globally and has found success in the European and North American markets. MULU has now established its roots in Dubai to meet the growing demand for plus-size fashion in the Middle East and Africa.

The new office in Dubai is ideally located to help build MULU’s local and regional presence to conduct business on the ground. MULU has also established a warehouse to serve as a regional hub for the brand’s continued expansion into new markets and to meet growing customer demand in the region and Africa. This year, MULU plans to open a retail store in Dubai to further expand its footprint and meet customer demand.

According to the latest figures, 31% of women in the UAE now wear a large or L size, compared to 42% in Saudi Arabia. However, finding clothes that fit plus-size women can be a huge challenge in the area. MULU is a fully plus sizing brand created in Europe to address this exact problem, MEA’s expanding effort to provide a solution for women who cannot find clothing in their size.

MULU clothes are available in sizes Medium to 7XL. The brand is fully committed to enabling plus-size women to be able to comfortably wear what they want without feeling pressured to follow social trends to fit in. MULU encourages women to do and wear what they want rather than putting others first.
