Police nab 3 suspects in 12-hour theft of $300,000 in jewelry

United Arab Emirates – Ajman police have apprehended three suspects who stole AED1.1 million worth of gold jewelery and AED40,000 in cash in just 12 hours.

The Ajman Police Operations Unit received a report of a gold shop being stolen and immediately formed a team to investigate.

When they arrived at the scene, authorities discovered that the alarm had not sounded, delaying their response.

The three suspects changed clothes several times and put on masks in an attempt to escape arrest. However, the authorities managed to arrest three Arab suspects named AG, TD and SA

The first man was captured with the help of Sharjah police. The second suspect, TD, was found in Rumaila, Ajman.

The third suspect, SA, who planned and led the robbery, was found in an industrial area in Ajman.

All three suspects confessed to their crimes and admitted to stealing gold jewelery worth Dh1.1 million and cash worth Dh40,000, which were also recovered.

The Ajman police stated that they will strictly investigate the offenders and resolutely deal with such perpetrators.
