Police are searching the headquarters of organizers of the Paris 2024 Olympics as part of an investigation into alleged corruption.
The Paris organizing committee said in a statement that it was conducting a search of its offices in the suburb of Saint-Denis, the French capital, and that “Paris 2024 is cooperating with investigators to facilitate their investigation.”
It will not comment further.
An official from the financial prosecutor’s office said the raids were linked to two previously undisclosed investigations and were based on information provided by the anti-corruption agency.
One of the investigations, launched in 2017, focused on alleged embezzlement and favoritism, as well as concerns about unspecified contracts struck by Paris organizers, the prosecutor’s office said.

The prosecutor’s office said the case targeted alleged conflicts of interest and favoritism involving multiple contracts between the organizing committee and Solideo, the company in charge of the Olympic facilities.
The Olympic Games will be held from July 26 to August 11, 2024, and the Paralympic Games will be held from August 28 to September 6, 2024.
