The Joy Screening is a comprehensive cultural and arts program hosted by the UAE, recently held in the Comoros, aimed at raising the profile of Arab culture between the UAE and the Union of Comoros. The screening of “Joy” was organized in cooperation with the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), the Ministry of Culture of the Comoros and Sheikha Alyazia Bint Nahyan Al Nahyan, Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization Cultural Ambassador. The second part of the “Joyful Screening” was held in the town of Mvouni with the participation of Wahida Hassani, Director of Culture and Arts, Ministry of Culture, Comoros; Ali Bawan, Director of Benghazi Urban Development Association, Mvouni Village; and Moussa Othmani, director of Arabic language development at the association.
More than 500 villagers including teachers, students, teenagers and children participated in the activity. Mvouni is a town on the island of Greater Comore, Comoros. It is about ten kilometers from the country’s capital, Moroni. In his welcome address, Ali Bhawan said: “We were honored to host the UAE delegation who presented us with an important cultural and artistic program that we have always wanted to have, especially since it comes from our beloved country, the UAE.” “We need to further expand our ties with Arab countries and strengthen our children’s relationship with their Arabic language and identity,” Moussa Othmani said.

The conversation session, moderated by Haifa Beseisso, included conversations with young people about interconnection, communication, ways to use social media to overcome obstacles, YouTube’s production principles, and making the most of available resources. “These activities are a way to boost their motivation and boost their confidence in themselves and their energy,” she says.
