Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced free parking in Dubai on 21 October to commemorate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Public car parks in the emirate will be free on Thursday, except for multi-storey car parks.
The revised service hours will apply to customer happiness centres, public buses, subways, trams, sea freight and service provider centers (vehicle technical testing).
The Service Provider Center and Customer Happiness Center will be closed on Thursday. The former will resume operations on Saturday, October 23, while the Customer Happiness Center will resume operations on Sunday, October 24.
Smart Customer Happiness Centers at Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Manara, Al Kafaf, Al Tawar and RTA Headquarters will continue to operate 24/7 as usual.
The service will run on the Red and Green Lines from 5am to 1am, while Dubai Tram will run from 6am to 1am.
Expo2020 Free Bus Rider services from Dubai and other emirates will continue to operate as usual.
Bus departure times are as follows: Main Stations, including Gold Souk Station, 4.50am-1.22am (next day), Al-Ghubaiba Station 4.13am-12.57am (next day).
At substations including Satwa station, the service will run from 4.57am to 11pm – except for route C01, which will operate around the clock.
Al-Qusais Bus Station operates from 4.50am to 12.04am (next day), Al Quoz Industrial Station operates from 5.30am to 11.30am, Jebel Ali Station operates from 4.58am to 12.15am (next day) .
Metro Link bus services at Centre Point, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa, Abu Hail and Etisalat will operate from 5am to 2.15am (next day) during holidays .
Intercity buses and commercial buses operate during the holiday period as follows: Al Ghubaiba and other sub-stations, 6.40am to 10.20pm, Union Square, 4.25am to 12.15pm (next day) , Etisalat Metro Station 6am to 9pm, Abu Hail Metro Station 6.30am to 10.35pm, Hatta Station 5.30am to 9.30pm. Timings for external stations are as follows: Sharjah’s Al Jubail Station from 5.30am to 11.15pm and Ajman Station from 4.30am to 11.00pm.
Sea transport will operate on Thursday as follows: Water buses will operate at Dubai Marina BM1, Marina Mall and Marina Walk from 12.00pm (noon) to 12.00am (midnight). At the Marina Promenade, Marina Mall, Marina Terrace and Marina Walk stations, the service will run from 2pm to 10:45pm.
Traditional Abra will be operating at Dubai Creek Stations during the holidays as follows: Old Dubai Bazaar – Baniyas CR3, 10am-11.50pm, Al Fahidi – Al Sabkha CR4 and Al Fahidi- Old Deira Souq CR5, 10am-11.45pm, Baniyas – Al Seef CR6 10.00am to 12.20pm (next day), Old Dubai Bazaar – Al Fahidi – Al Seef CR7 3.15pm to 11.05pm, Al Jaddaf – Dubai Festival City BM2 8am to 11.50pm, Dubai Festival City – Dubai River 2pm to 9.55pm, Port CR9, 4pm to 11pm, Tourist Services at Sheikh Zayed Road Station TR6.
During the holidays, ferries will operate on the Al Ghubaiba- Dubai Water Canal- Marina Mall FR1 route at 1pm and 6pm. The ferry tour service will depart from Al Ghubaiba FR3 at 4.30pm and the tour service from Marina FR4 will depart at 11.30am and 4.30pm. Water taxis will operate on demand from 12pm (noon) to 8pm (customers need to book in advance).
