Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced free parking in Dubai on October 21, the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

With the exception of multi-storey parking terminals, public car parks in the emirate will open for free on Thursday.

The revised service hours will apply to Customer Happiness Centers, public buses, subways, trams, marine and service provider centers (vehicle technical testing).

Service Center

The Service Provider Center and Customer Happiness Center will be closed on Thursday. While hte will be back to work on Saturday 23rd October, the Customer Happiness Centre will be back to work on Sunday 24th October.

Smart Customer Happiness Centres at Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Manara, Al Kafaf, Al Tawar and RTA Headquarters will continue to operate 24/7 as usual.

Dubai Metro, Tram

The service will run on the Red and Green Lines from 5am to 1am, while the Dubai Tram will run from 6am to 1am.

bus service

The Expo2020 free bus passenger service from Dubai and other emirates will continue to operate as usual.

The public bus schedule is as follows: Main stations, including Gold Souq station, from 4.50am to 1.22am (next day) and Al-Ghubaiba station from 4.13am to 12.57am (next day).

At sub-stations including Satwa Station, the service will run from 4.57am to 11pm – with the exception of Route C01, which will run 24/7.

Al-Qusais Bus Station operates from 4.50am to 12.04am (next day), Al Quoz Industrial Station operates from 5.30am to 11.30pm and Jebel Ali Station operates from 4.58am to 12.15am (next day) .

Metro Link bus services for Centre Point, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa, Abu Hale and Etisalat will operate from 5am to 2.15am during the holidays.

Intercity bus

During the holidays, intercity and commercial buses will operate as follows: Substations such as Al Ghubaiba from 6.40am to 10.20pm, Union Square from 4.25am to 12.15am (next day), Etisalat Metro Station from 6am to 9pm , Abu Haier Metro Station from 6.30am to 10.35pm and Hatta Station from 5.30am to 9.30pm. The timings for the external stations are as follows: Al Jubail station in Sharjah from 5.30am to 11.15pm and Ajman station from 4.30am to 11pm.

sea ​​transportation

Sea transport will operate as follows on Thursday: Waterbuses will operate from 12pm (noon) to 12am (midnight) at Dubai Marina BM1, Marina Mall and Marina Walk. At Marina Promenade, Marina Mall, Marina Terrace and Marina Walk stations, the service will run from 2pm to 10.45pm.

During the holidays, the traditional Abra at Dubai Creek Station will operate as follows: Dubai Old Souq – Baniyas CR3, 10am-11.50pm, Al Fahidi – Al Sabkha CR4 and Al Fahidi-Old Deira Souq CR5, 10am-11.45pm , Baniyas – Al Seef CR6 10am to 12.20am (next day), Dubai Old Souk – Al Fahidi – Al Seef CR7 3.15pm to 11.05pm, Al Jaddaf – Dubai Festival City BM2 8am to 11.50pm, Dubai Festival City – Dubai Creek Harbour CR9 from 2pm to 9.55pm, tour services from Sheikh Zayed Road Station TR6 from 4pm to 11pm.

Ferries will operate on the Al Ghubaiba-Dubai Water Canal-Marina FR1 route at 1pm and 6pm during the holidays. Ferry tour services will start at 4.30pm from Al Ghubaiba FR3, while tours from Marina FR4 will run at 11.30am and 4.30pm. Water taxis will operate on demand from 12pm (noon) to 8pm (customers need to book in advance).
