Providing Well-Being Satisfaction And Women Empowerment With SARAZINE – Sara El Bourkkadi

This week, we connected with Sara El Bourkkadi to talk about her inspirational journey and her business ideas as the Founder & Managing Partner of SARAZINE. Her company, SARAZINE, is a personal care product manufacturing company that manufactures all types of organic and natural self-care products for skincare, haircare, nail care and so on.

Along with SARAZINE, Sara owns multiple businesses and shares her experiences as a leader of several companies. She is a result-oriented entrepreneur who has extensive experience in maximizing business productivity. Let’s hear from her how she tackles her challenges, her goals, and a lot more through this interview.

How did you start your entrepreneurship journey? Do you have some advice for beginners?

My entrepreneurship journey started with a need to take care of my skin in less time than possible with immediate satisfying results. Due to my busy work schedule, I didn’t have time to apply many products for my daily skincare routine, but I still needed and wanted to take care of my skin and have healthy glowing skin. Hence, after contacting many skincare experts and specialists and after about 3 years of research and development, we successfully created efficacious formulas that combine a few skincare steps in one product that gives instant deep hydration and glow.

I have always been passionate about skincare and specifically organic and natural skincare.

What do you believe is the most crucial part of continuing business seamlessly?

I would advise any startup to conduct a risk assessment by describing which business interruptions the company may be affected by and why. These interruptions could be internal, such as issues in production or operations, and external, such as pandemics and disasters. Once the risks are identified, a plan can be put in place to avoid panic and confusion when faced with an issue, and Covid 19 pandemic is the best example.

We saw that you are active as a leader in multiple companies. What are your goals through your companies, and how do you plan to help individuals with them?

I aim to have a collaborative success story involving all team members across the different companies I am directing. We hope to have a success story that all team members would be proud of.

Describe yourself in one word.

Enthusiastic, ambitious woman who doesn’t believe in the impossible if there is a will, motivation, and hard work

Do employees’ energy and enthusiasm have a hand in business success? How do you plan to motivate your team to go the extra mile?

Employees are the most important asset of any organization. If the organization does not have happy and satisfied employees, it will not deliver performance-oriented results. The energy and enthusiasm of employees are important, but so are the skillsets they bring to the table. Across companies, we ensure that employees are heard, their ideas are considered, and they receive the proper training and development programs.

How would you describe your leadership style?

I would describe my leadership as a guided Laissez-faire leadership, where employees are empowered and trusted to accomplish the task at hand without constant micromanagement but within the acceptable guidelines. The employees are given the authority to make decisions on their own when they see fit in some situations. However, if the decision is about a critical matter, they will have to refer to the concerned person or me.

Did you face any challenges during your career span? If so, how were you able to overcome them?

I have faced multiple challenges in my entrepreneurial path, some I was able to overcome, and others resulted in failures. However, I have learnt a lot from each challenge, and I’m still learning every day.

After a few failures and challenges, my advice would be to have a practical business plan, not a theoretical one, to follow the business plan and alter it when needed, and to choose the right people you surround yourself with or partner with.

Are you adapting to digital transformation? How is it helping your business?

We are proud to say that we are almost a paper-free organization where processes, procedures, and approvals are automated. Recently even meetings are mostly conducted online as we have multiple employees working remotely.

Do you use innovative ideas to be unique?

We must have innovative and effective ideas to stand out in a competitive market. At SARAZINE Skincare company, for example, we have developed unique, organic formulas that combine multiple skincare steps in one product and where results are immediate.

Where is your leadership going? What benefits do your clients get from your company in this competitive world?

At SARAZINE skincare, we are driven by instant results ideology combined with the minimum steps and products required to reach top levels of skin care and well-being satisfaction.

We use unique methodologies to extract natural ingredients to make them dry for higher skin and hair absorption.

The products are multi-purpose for time and money saving while providing instant top-level skin care and hair care results while enjoying a long-lasting natural chosen scent.

Across companies, we believe in giving back to society. At SARAZINE, the natural ingredients are cultivated fresh by women from different urban regions in Morocco to help different women in communities have their own income. The ingredients are delivered to the laboratory for the scientists to prepare the formulas designated to help women and men take care of their skin routine and get faster, amazing skin results.

In addition, 20% of the company’s profits go to educating and empowering women.
