Roommate Jacob Chansley, also known as QAnon Shaman, will go to jail after his role U.S. Congressional Riots January 6.according to CNN, He was sentenced to 41 months in prison. The sentence is approximately 3.5 years, which is the longest sentence imposed on a mob. The Ministry of Justice did not give him any slack, and asked QAnon to be severely sentenced to set an example among other thugs.
Despite his repeated attempts to gain sympathy, Judge Royce Lambers has kept QAnon in jail since his arrest in March. If you remember, the photo of QAnon at the Capitol became popular for its unique appearance, while yelling into the megaphone. In addition, it was discovered that he was carrying an American flag on the flagpole of a spear, and the prosecutor classified it as a weapon. During the prosecutor’s sentence, Kimberly Paschall used several videos to show QAnon’s entrance into the Capitol and Senate, as well as footage of him yelling with the crowd.
“It’s not peaceful,” Prosecutor Pascal said. She said his role as the standard bearer of the mob was terrifying. When sentencing, QAnon told Judge Lambers about the impact of prison and how he felt guilty for breaking the law. He said he was wrong to enter the Capitol on January 6. He was not a rebel or a domestic terrorist, but a good person who violated the law.
“The hardest part about this is knowing that I should be blamed. You have to look in the mirror to know that I really screwed up. Royal,” QAnon said. He continued: “Because of my decision, I was imprisoned in solitary confinement. I broke the law…I should do what Gandhi would do and take responsibility. There is no if, or but, this is what a person with dignity does.” Currently, the report does not disclose the location of the facility where he will serve his sentence.
