The Ras Al Khaimah Jobs and Internships Festival, hosted by the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research, offered opportunities to over 850 Emirati job seekers on its inaugural day. With participation from more than 60 prominent private sector companies, the two-day event underscores Ras Al Khaimah’s commitment to nurturing local talent and boosting the job market.

The festival began with an official opening ceremony, featuring remarks from Mohammad Omran Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Al Qasimi Foundation. He expressed his delight in empowering ambitious Emiratis, bridging global and local prospects, and paving the way for Ras Al Khaimah’s next generation of leaders.

The festival’s primary goal is to connect Emirati individuals with diverse backgrounds to opportunities in the private sector, addressing the evolving job market by matching job seekers’ skills and aspirations with the needs of prospective employers. Mira Zakharia, senior director of Human Resources at Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, highlighted the Emirate’s commitment to nurturing local talent.

The event, held at Hilton Garden Inn in Ras Al Khaimah, saw participation from organizations across various sectors, including tourism and hospitality, banking, engineering, finance, media, technology, real estate, and more. Leading companies such as RAKTDA, RAKBANK, and Deloitte were among the participants.

The festival also featured empowering workshops to enhance job-seeking skills, covering topics like CV writing, interview techniques, and career progression. These workshops, conducted by experts from the Al Qasimi Foundation, Andersen UAE, and National Food Products Company (NFPC), provided valuable guidance to job seekers.
