Dubai, UAE: RECAPP celebrates its second anniversary with the launch of the first B2B digital recycling platform in the UAE. GoRECAPP.com will enable UAE businesses to deploy recycling bins on their premises, providing suitable digital solutions for retail stores, offices, schools, sports facilities, hotels, restaurants and any other type of organisation. RECAPP announced the launch yesterday at the 25 Hours Hotel to an audience of over 100, including C-level executives from the restaurant industry, sustainability leaders, retailers and the media.
Launched in November 2020 by Veolia Near Middle East, the benchmark for eco-transformation, RECAPP is the UAE’s first recycling app, collecting plastic bottles and aluminium cans for free from the door of the home. Today, RECAPP has transformed into a holistic digital recycling solution for individuals and businesses, with third-party operators collecting several types of small, often mismanaged waste streams.
Businesses can order single-use recycling bins or subscribe to weekly collections on GoRECAPP.com. Recycling bins have a variety of options for small waste streams that are often poorly recycled, including plastic bottles, cans, paper, coffee capsules, e-waste, batteries and light bulbs.
RECAPP now also provides a Brand plan Let companies deploy recycling bins in their own stores or those of retail partners to collect end-of-life products brought back by customers.

Since its launch two years ago, RECAPP has built a community of over 40,000 registered users and has collected 500 tons of recyclables and over 25 million bottles and cans. RECAPP completes an average of 2,300 collections per week and has so far received 115,000 honors, each collection over 5.5kg, with a rejection rate of less than 4%.
Today, RECAPP has deployed waste bins in 40 schools and 50 offices, helping raise recycling awareness among younger generations and bringing practical ESG solutions to brands and companies. In addition, six brand owners have joined forces with RECAPP to promote local recycling, namely Agthia, Rainbow, Nestlé, The Coca-Cola Company, Borouge and Spinneys. RECAPP also joins 18 reward partners including Carrefour, Al Ain and Noon, where users can redeem points to incentivize positive and eco-friendly behavior through more than 35,000 promotional coupons offered to date.
In the coming year, RECAPP aims to expand RECAPP services to other regions by working with local and government authorities to make their digital tools available to other waste collectors.
RECAPP has successfully fulfilled its mission to promote sustainable development and was named a Gold Winner in the Environmental Sustainability Program category at the 2022 Gulf Sustainability Awards.
