Currently residing in UAE, Ibrahim is originally from Italy. His company, Dubai Offplan Properties, first understands their clients and then offers solutions in the real estate field. The company also has social media presence on LinkedIn, Facebook & Instagram.
Explain the background of you and the company in detail.
I’m 38-year-old was born in Italy and graduated from Cairo University, holding a bachelor’s in Business Administration.
In 2013 I started my Journey in Egypt and moved to Dubai in 2016 to explore better opportunities. Being hardworking, passionate, and with in-depth market knowledge, I strive to provide each client with outstanding service.
DOP started in 2020. I was passionate about developing a business that would start from the ground up.
By implementing innovative marketing concepts and introducing franchise systems, DOP is increasing the standard of real estate. As a result, it is growing year by year.
What are your goals?
To have new branches around the world besides UAE and Egypt. To help our new and old clients get what they are looking for in investments or getting the golden visa or Resale. Because UAE is one of the top leading countries in the world, I proudly say that UAE is the safest place for investing and having a good life.
What do you feel is the biggest strength of yourself/company right now?
Real estate is more than Money transactions. It’s amazing how I am taking part in someone’s journey to reach their dreams. Nothing is more important than choosing the right option for someone’s needs. But the real strength point is I trust myself and my team because we have the vision to be one of the top Real Estate companies in Dubai.
As DOP has been in the market for almost 2 years now, we proudly have what it takes to sustain the brand’s success, and we’re learning more day by day.
What was the path you/your company took to get to where you are today?
Hiring the right talent, personality, and character in the market, along with extreme knowledge and thorough training, to truly understand the market’s economy and all the factors that have been influencing the market, to provide the best investment solutions to both end-users and investors.
Why did you start (or want to be the head of) this company?
My vision and dream is to have a branch in every country besides Dubai and Egypt, as we have an excellent reputation, brand, and success lie primarily in consultancy, leaseholds, and sales. The brand has also helped me gain credibility and trust when dealing with new clients, either locally or internationally.
What have been the biggest challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My biggest challenge was stepping into the UAE market, where I had to learn about a new market, adapt to a new culture and work in a multi-international and diverse environment.
In addition to that, going through the pandemic and understanding the risks of the business. Not only the Real Estate industry has been hurt, but all industries were affected during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Like many other businesses, we struggled, and it was a bit challenging to recover financially from what had happened. However, what seemed like a crisis to others, seemed like an opportunity to us as we closed our most important deals during the pandemic.
Give us one word that describes you the best.
“Fighter” would describe me best. I learned throughout my life that giving up is not an option. Even though things do not always seem to work the way we want them to, I always have faith that I will do it.
What makes you excited about Mondays?
I believe in myself, in my dream and when you are passionate about your job and love what you do. Mondays are a new chance to grab new opportunities, set new targets, and meet your goals.
What do you value most about your culture and vision?
Raised in Italy, I am fortunate enough to come from a historic country, rich in culture and history, producing good educated people.
Professionally, I also learned that I would never see the desired financial results when focusing on financial means. So instead, I learned to focus on powerful tools, like one’s knowledge, relationships and experience, and always work to become a better version of myself, and then the money will follow.
Tell us about a project that forced you to be innovative and creative.
During the pandemic, we closed 4 deals from our highest ideals. That made me stronger and more creative because building connections and Personal relations within and outside my community are vital to this business’s success, and we always have a rule that our clients are like family to us. We will always be there for them.
What are the strategies of your company, and how do they stand unique from your competitors?
Passion, exclusivity, and the service we give after the deal are the company’s core values in everything we do. However, what majorly differentiates DOP from the rest of the competitors is the consistency in serving quality service to our clients worldwide.
What are the key values which helped you to overcome the roadblocks/challenges in your career? Tell us something about your memorable incident in your leadership.
Besides the excellent and detail-oriented training provided by my previous experiences and DOP, our extensive market knowledge, it is crucial in this domain to be as candid as possible, advise people, and hear their needs. Unfortunately, you would be surprised to see how other agents think about their commission, forgetting that clients’ convenience is the most important. They fail to listen and never provide a solution to one’s needs.
How do you see the company changing in two years, and how do you see yourself creating that change?
During our first year, we achieved AED 120M recorded in the Dubai Land Department for residential and commercial properties. My vision is to achieve AED 200M in the second year with the trust of our clients. The future of the real estate market and the DOP brand seems bright and promising.
Change is vital for a company’s success. Change keeps things moving, and I am very open to ideas as required to succeed. The only way to keep moving forward is to be client-oriented rather than money-oriented and to offer services based on client’s needs and requests.
Where is your leadership going? What benefits do your clients get from your company in this competitive world?
I’m planning to have more branches internationally. We are building long-term relationships, working with pure transparency, and explaining the entire process to a client are extremely important. We offer custom-made solutions and sometimes create ones if necessary. We do all the work while keeping our clients happy and headache-free, but most importantly, we let them enjoy the process and journey.
