It was a huge TV hit in its first season in 2016, and fans have been clamoring for a sequel to The Night Manager ever since.

Now, after seven years, the long-awaited second season is finally airing on the BBC and Prime Video.

When does The Night Manager season 2 air?

Based on the novel by John le Carré, The Night Manager premiered in 2016 to great acclaim from critics and audiences.

While no air date has been announced, the series likely won’t air until late 2023 or early 2024.

Who will be in The Night Manager Season 2?

The first season of ‘The Night Manager’ features an incredible cast, including tom hiddleston The main character is Jonathan Pyne, an ex-soldier turned night manager at a luxury Cairo hotel, who is recruited by the Foreign Ministry to infiltrate the arms-dealing ring.

Hiddleston is expected to return for season two, though he’ll need some new cast members as many of the first season cast members won’t be returning.

Arms dealer Richard Roper, played by Hugh Laurie, has already been killed, while Pine killed his henchman Corky, played by tom hollandnear the end of the series.

Olivia Colman plays Pine’s foreign minister, Angie Labour, while Elizabeth Debicki plays his girlfriend, Jed – although she was photographed heading to the US at the end of the first season.

The season one cast also includes David Heywood, Tobias Menzies, Russell Tovey and Neil Morrissey.

What will happen to the new series?

The second season is codenamed Steelworks, but it’s unclear what the new season will be called.

The adaptation will again be written by David Farr and will be shot in London and South America, with Pine likely to take on more risky assignments for the Foreign Office.

Although the first season was based on the thriller of the same name, there is no sequel novel, so the new season will be an entirely new story created in the same universe as the original characters.
