The 58-year-old opened the Pitso Mosimane football academy in Johannesburg on Saturday, where he discussed a number of possibilities for his future, one of which was the Kaizer Chiefs.
However, just hours later, the 19-time trophy winner was announced as the head coach of UAE Al Wahda, taking with him four of his backroom staff.
In a statement released by his management team, MT Sports and Marketing Management, Mosimane revealed that it was the ambition of the four-time league champions that influenced his decision.
