Actor Robert Pattinson has responded to “weird” deepfakes of himself that have gone viral on TikTok, revealing that even people who know him well have been fooled by the videos.
Deepfakes are synthetic media that place a person’s likeness within existing images, confusing users Tik Tok on many different accounts.

The unreal_robert account has over a million followers and their most viewed video has over 33 million views.

The comments section of these videos was packed with viewers who still couldn’t quite grasp that this wasn’t the real Robert, and it’s safe to say some people were fooled when it first appeared on their For You page.
