Russian official claims radioactive cloud is moving towards Western Europe – World News – Tasnim News Agency

[ad_1]

Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, speaking at a conference in the northwestern Russian city of Syktyvkar on Friday, said the clouds were formed when the Russian military hit a batch of munitions containing depleted uranium . According to reports, this ammunition was supplied to Ukraine by the United Kingdom.

Patrushev commented on US President Joe Biden’s arrival in Hiroshima for the G7 summit, noting that one of the stated goals of the visit was to “help Ukraine.”

“They have already ‘helped’ Ukraine by putting pressure on their allies and supplying depleted uranium ammunition. The destruction of this ammunition has caused a radioactive cloud to move towards Western Europe. Poland has already detected an increase in radiation,” Patrushev warned.

Furthermore, he continued, “the United States is developing and is already using chemical and biological weapons, including in Ukraine.”

Patrushev recalled that in August 1945, without any military necessity, the United States dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, with “catastrophic consequences and a large number of civilian deaths.”

“They have not apologized! They will not apologize for what they have done. They have been brainwashing the Japanese into thinking that the Soviet Union, not the United States, used nuclear weapons against them,” Patrushev said. “This is what American aid and democracy is all about!”.

In late March, the UK announced its decision to supply depleted uranium ammunition to Ukraine, drawing criticism from Russia.

Farhan Haq, deputy spokesman for the UN Secretary-General, expressed concern about the UK’s decision, saying: “We have always expressed concerns about the use of depleted uranium and its consequences. These concerns apply to any party supplying such weapons.”
