Ruth Berry promoted to lead ITV Studios’ global commercial division

ITV Studios‘ Head of Global Distribution Ruth Berry Has been promoted to lead the company’s two global commercial divisions.

ITV Studios’ global distribution and global entertainment divisions have been brought together under a single leadership and organizational structure led by Berry, who will work closely with Chief Operating Officer David McGraynor. Due to reorganization, Arjan Pompel ITV Studios said it was stepping down as general manager of global entertainment.

The reorganization will allow ITV Studios to “align more closely with buyers and reflect the evolution of the global market with the development of streaming platforms, continued market consolidation and the adoption by many buyers of a single purchase method for all types, ’ the group said.

Berry will now lead the distribution and monetization of the 90,000-hour catalog, which includes 285 formats covering “love island‘, ‘My Mom Your Dad’, ‘Motherhood’, ‘The Voice’ and ‘Line of Responsibility’. Sales teams will continue to be distributed around the world, with dedicated formats and finished products in the Netherlands, UK, US, Australia and Singapore programming team.

Prior to joining ITV Studios, Berry was Senior Vice President and Head of EMEA at Shine International and The Walt Disney Company as Head of Brand Services and Digital Media Distribution for EMEA.

McGraynor said: “Ruth has been instrumental in building our commercial business and working with clients around the world. She has a deep understanding of our partners’ needs and we look forward to her leading the continued development of both divisions.

Berry’s team will continue to work with ITV Studios’ international division, including International Productions, led by Lisa Perrin, and The Creative Network, led by Mike Beale.

ITV Studios’ Global Entertainment division is responsible for the group’s international unscripted format sales and development, while Global Distribution focuses on the international distribution of plays and finished tape releases of all other ITV Studios and third-party programming.
