Popular UAE burger truck converted into restaurant Salt The latest pop-up store was launched at the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
Salt Camp, which opened Friday, has a fitting theme — art has left the frame.The free-entry outdoor food event has a designated entrance at the museum, leading to food trucks and rows of bright pink tents, each offering quirky interpretations of the work of famous artists, including Vincent Vvan gogh and Banksy.
The pop-up is part restaurant, part art installation, and the idea behind it is to make art more accessible.
Other artists who have been treated with salt include the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, who was honored with a display of tropical plants, and the Ottoman artist Osman Hamdibe, whose 1878 work young emir studying Projected in one of the tents, where guests can recreate the theme.
Dining chairs and tables with pink patterned cushions are located throughout the park, which also has a stage for live performances.
In addition to taking selfies and eating burgers, visitors can participate in other activities including getting henna, making sand paintings or spray painting geometric camel statues.
and Salt’s collaboration with the Museum of the Future In Dubai, the Louvre Abu Dhabi pop-up shop also sells a range of merchandise.
The menu features the restaurant’s signature burgers and shakes, and visitors can also choose from chicken popcorn, potato chips, char-grilled corn and a selection of French fries including truffles, jalapeños and cheese.
Salt’s famous soft serve ice cream has been creatively reimagined in interactive packaging that can be opened to reveal a hidden message. Also on the dessert menu are cinnamon rolls, cookie sundaes and chocolate affogatos.
The Salt Camp pop-up at Louvre Abu Dhabi is open daily until April 30, from noon to 11.30pm
