The feud between Samantha and Meghan has been in the public eye for more than five years. In 2018, in an interview with ITV good morning ukSamantha insists She’s not ‘making money’ on Meghan’s famedespite being an often outspoken critic.
“I’ve worked in media and broadcasting for most of my life, so my sister suddenly being a royal is not a reason for me to stop doing it,” Samantha said. “Let’s face it – we all Must survive. Money makes the world go round so if you want to call it cashing that’s fine, but I don’t think anyone in the media is going to refuse to pay a salary for talking about the royal family, as a family we are not bound by royal protocol. Why Am I going to stop living because we have family issues?”
“No one owns the copyright on our life experiences, so, I think the public forgets that in the family, each of us has our own life experiences,” she continued. “With all due respect, it’s not just Meghan. We have the right to share this. We have the right to be open about it, and it would be great if we could shed light on some issues for the public, and we can enjoy the process… I Don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. It’s not demeaning. It’s not harmful.”
