Saudi Arabia is registering more international tourists than any other Arab country in the first nine months of 2022, as government officials aim to welcome 100 million tourists a year by the end of the decade.
Thanks to these unprecedented numbers, the Kingdom’s booming tourism industry will be the focus of the 2023 Arabian Travel Market (ATM), which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) from 1-4 May.
This year’s Saudi summit will take place on the global stage, focusing on the Kingdom’s importance in reshaping the regional tourism landscape as mega-projects are well underway. In addition to the summit, ATM 2023 will feature many Saudi exhibitors including Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudi Arabia), flynas, Makkah Royal Clock Tower, Asma Hospitality Company, Eyes of Riyadh, Itrip, Dur Hospitality, Sadana Real Estate Co , Saudi Amad provides airport services, transport support and more.

According to data released by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Saudi Arabia will attract more than 18 million inbound tourists in the first three quarters of 2022, followed by the United Arab Emirates (14.8 million tourists) and Morocco (11 million tourists). two and three.
Tourism spending in Saudi Arabia also surged last year, reaching $7.2 billion in the first half of 2022, according to data released by the Saudi Investment Ministry. In addition to a focus on specific markets such as Saudi Arabia, ATM 2023 will also explore the future of sustainable tourism under its theme of “Strive for Net Zero Emissions”. Following the official launch of the Net Zero Tour, the conference program will explore how innovative sustainable travel trends may evolve, allowing delegates to identify growth strategies for key verticals, while providing a platform for regional experts to explore a sustainable future ahead of COP28, It will be held in Dubai Expo City in November 2023.
The conference will also, for the first time, include a sustainability category in its annual exhibitor awards. Exhibiting organizations will be recognized based on how well they consider the environmental impact of their booth and their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint.
