Scan Global Logistics (SGL) has opened a sole proprietorship in Dubai to take advantage of the new non-resident sponsorship rules.
For many years, the company had a commercial representative office in Dubai, but decided to take advantage of new regulations allowing 100% foreign ownership in the UAE.
SGL said that just one month after SGL opened its first office in Dubai, a second office is rapidly under construction, with more offices to follow in the near future.
“Our growth has far exceeded expectations and is still growing exponentially. In order to be closer to our key customers, we will be opening our next office in Abu Dhabi in a few months, as we expect to open a third in Dubai offices,” said Ayman Kabbara, UAE Managing Director.

SGL said the creation of the new business in the UAE is “part of an ambitious global growth strategy that includes plans to further expand across the EMEA region through a combination of greenfield and local acquisitions”.
In the past two years, Scan Global Logistics enter the UKPoland, Czech Republic, Cambodia, France, South Africa, Togo and Benin.
“With the help of our global legal and M&A teams, my team and I are reviewing all available options for local and regional expansion,” Kabbara said. “In the long run, we’re going to be involved.”
