Sea World Abu Dhabi is the first marine life theme park in the MENA region.
For many years, Yas Island has been Abu Dhabi’s premier leisure, entertainment and entertainment hub.

Sea World Abu Dhabi is home to the first sea creatures Theme Parks in the Middle East and North Africa area. A joint project between leading developers Miral and SeaWorld Entertainment, it will showcase the research, rescue, conservation and restoration of local aquatic life.
The 183,000-square-meter theme park will be a vibrant habitat for more than 100,000 marine, terrestrial and flying animals, including 150 species of fish, mammals, reptiles and birds.
What to expect at SeaWorld Abu Dhabi
Here’s an overview of the main attractions at the theme park:
1. Eight immersive realms
SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will showcase eight immersive and wondrous realms.
The first is Sea Kingdom Abu Dhabi, where you will be taken to the shores of the Arabian Gulf to learn about the United Arab Emirates’ rich history of pearl diving and trading.
Here, you can immerse yourself in the country’s vibrant culture and get up close and personal with its unique wildlife.
This area is also home to Matbakh Ummi, a signature dining experience featuring delicious Arabic cuisine. Additionally, you’ll find a souk here, a nod to Abu Dhabi’s heritage and its deep connection to the Arabian Gulf.
The polar oceans contain two domains – the Arctic and Antarctica. The area has beautiful ice and snow landscapes and diverse wildlife.
From the tundra of the Arctic to the frozen expanses of Antarctica, this realm brings the extreme environments of polar regions to life. Here, you can wander through the colorful Juhani village and watch walruses frolic in their state-of-the-art habitat.
Both areas also have a large research ship where you can learn about the different areas and their inhabitants through fun interactive exhibits.
Plus, you can ride thrilling rides, indulge in delicious food, and browse the retail stores in both areas.
Once SeaWorld Abu Dhabi opens, other areas you can explore include Abu Dhabi Seas, Rocky Point, Microcean, Tropical Seas and Endless Seas.
2. Research and rescue facilities
Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue is the MENA region’s first and only comprehensive research, rescue, rehabilitation, return and education center and UAE’s Marine Conservation Program.
Research
Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue aims to understand and protect the incredible marine animals of the Arabian Gulf.
The center will actively investigate the unique characteristics of the local environment and develop innovative methods to restore its ecosystems.
Teams at the center have access to specialized field and laboratory equipment, as well as state-of-the-art aquaculture facilities, to conduct research extensively and efficiently.
They also have a dedicated research vessel that can be used to explore the depths of the bay and uncover its secrets.
Rescue, Rehabilitation and Return
The center’s goal is to rehabilitate each injured animal so it can return to its natural habitat.
The center is actively building local partnerships to operate an effective rescue network.
At present, they have rescue boats and professional equipment, which can be dispatched quickly and reach the rescue site quickly.
They also have state-of-the-art equipment, including animal CT machines and a dedicated rehabilitation facility with UV lighting that mimics natural sunlight, to care for all rescued animals.
Animals deemed inadmissible by regulators receive lifelong care in centers or specialized facilities.
Education and Advocacy
In addition to protecting and enriching the aquatic wildlife, habitats and ecosystems of the Arabian Gulf, Yas Seaworld Research and Rescue works to educate and inspire the next generation of ocean lovers.
The center has dedicated classrooms and a 180-seat auditorium, and their team can provide a unique learning experience for all guests. They plan to host discussions that everyone can participate in to support conservation efforts among scientists, researchers, students, and the public.
The center’s education and outreach activities include learning experiences, interactive and hands-on outreach, as well as citizen science programs and marine science events.
3. The world’s largest marine life aquarium
SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will feature a 6,604,301 gallon tank containing 25 million liters of water, making it the largest marine life aquarium in the world.
The aquarium will feature an “Endless View,” a 65-foot-tall vertical window showcasing the life of some of the most fascinating aquatic species in the region and the world.
It will be a natural habitat for more than 100,000 aquatic animals and mammals.
This includes more than 68,000 marine animals such as schools of fish, sharks, manta rays and turtles.
