Sheikh Saeed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Padel Association, presented the trophies to the winners of the Modon Abu Dhabi Padel Master, the season opener of the 2023 World Padel Circuit, at a ceremony held at Bab Al Nojoum, Hudayriyat Island.
Agustín Tapia/Arturo Coello Manso beat Alejandro Galan Romo/Juan Lebron Chincoa (7-6 / 6-3) to win the Men’s Championship, while Ariana Sanchez Fallada/Paula Josemaría Martín beat Alejandra Salazar Bengoechea/Gemma Triay Pons to win the Women’s Championship [6-3 / 6-3]. Ariana Sanchez Fallada and Arturo Coello Manso were also honored as MVPs in their respective categories prize.
The sold-out final thrilled some of the world’s top players as they battled it out on custom-made courts on the beach. The winning duo expressed their delight at scoring 2,000 points, the highest ever World Padel Tour points.

The final attendance figure of 6,000 visitors highlights the growing popularity of padel in the UAE, with more people discovering and enjoying the sport each year.

The World Padel Tour will continue to South America in March as it kicks off its most international schedule ever in 2023. Abu Dhabi has agreed to be the site of the first Masters on the WPT calendar each year for the next four years and given the success of the Modon Abu Dhabi Padel Master, the event can only be expected to go from strength to strength.
