Who said that if you need to buy “art”, you have to always buy only paintings, handicrafts and sculptures?

Say no to plastic, do chores

Pausing for daily chores just got an artistic twist, a canvas bag collection from Emirati artist Abdulla Lutfi in collaboration with Grandiose Supermarkets. Abdulla Lutfi, or AL, as he prefers to sign his works, is known for his signature art style using black markers on a white background. His illustrations are complemented by humorous bubbles that are consistent across all of his storytelling and bags, which one can buy from supermarkets. The two variants use illustrations based on contemporary figures, two Emirati figures, to humanize green slogans such as “Stop using plastic” and “This is not a plastic bag”. Lutfi said: “At a time when my home country is leading its environment-first initiative, I am honored to partner with Grandiose and contribute to the sport in the way I know best. Through my art.”

Save the animals, dress up chic

GCC-based sustainable lifestyle brand WILD FABRIK has launched a limited-edition collection of nine T-shirts in partnership with the Emirates Natural World Wildlife Fund. Called WILD Fabrik in the Wild, the designs focus on wild animals, some of which are endangered native to the UAE. The collection will include t-shirts from natrl, the UAE’s first mineral water in a box. 100% of the proceeds from the collection will be donated to the Emirates Natural World Wildlife Fund. The brand aims to bridge the gap between green producers and conscious buyers, while sowing the seeds of environmental awareness, educating today’s people and benefiting tomorrow’s people. Gergana Abdulrahman, co-founder of WILD FABRIK, said: “Through this collaboration, we hope to create a buzz around the plight of animals and our nature through fun activities that give people a reason to feel good and good while giving back to society. Smile. Local reasons.”

Ho ho ho, dress up the Christmas tree

It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas, and we’re humming the song and filling our carts with Christmas decorations. For the fourth year in a row, Crate and Barrel has partnered with local artists to create handcrafted accessories like no other. This year’s ‘Ornaments for a Cause’ was designed by Loompop, Abdulla Lutfi and Nio Artt – featuring local motifs and limited edition flag designs. A portion of the profits from the sale will be donated to charity.

radiant and ethical
