Siemens and Petrojet to provide solutions for utilities, infrastructure projects

Global technology giant Siemens has joined forces with Petrojet, one of the largest construction groups in the Middle East and Africa, to promote technological cooperation in the Middle East’s industrial sector.

In a statement, Siemens said the companies would pay particular attention to water, oil and gas, tunnels and infrastructure projects in the region.

Technologies will include automation solutions, industrial communications, instrumentation, analytics products, motion control, industrial IoT platforms, cloud computing, predictive maintenance and asset management systems.

Under the agreement, Siemens will support Petrojet with its latest technologies, including the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, an open digital business platform that makes it easier and faster for customers to accelerate digital transformation at scale.

It will also provide Petrojet with several technical trainings on automation, instrumentation and control products and solutions.

According to Siemens, the cooperation will enable the two companies to use complementary capabilities to identify opportunities, support the digitalization strategy of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, promote Egypt’s Vision 2030 and key customers in the Middle East.
