Singapore-based entertainment company mm2 and Taiwan’s Manmaner revealed at Hong Kong’s Filmart on Tuesday that they are collaborating on a high-end series based on Taiwan’s best-selling book mystery story. The project is the first to emerge from a new development agreement signed by the two partners with Taiwanese IP company Million Star Entertainment.
mystery story It tells the story of a mysterious old woman who grants wishes by using her amulets written on long yellow slips of paper. Every wish is granted, as long as the wisher agrees to her price—and accepts the consequences of their wishes.

The series is adapted from the best-selling supernatural series of the same name by a popular Taiwanese author with the pen name Teensy. Teensy still agent above, a title adapted by Netflix as part of its recent list of Chinese content.There are currently seven books in mystery story series, giving mm2 and Manmaner enough room to run the project if it proves to be successful. Writer Chen Wenzi (V-Focus) is adapting the book for the screen.
