President Sheikh Mohammed meets Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi at Abu Dhabi Presidential Airport.UAE Presidential Court
Sisi and bin Zayed held talks during a short break at the Shati Palace to discuss bilateral relations between Egypt and the UAE and the latest developments in the region.
During the talks, the Egyptian president expressed his condolences to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed on the death of his mother-in-law, Sheikha Maryam Al-Falasi.
The meeting was attended by senior UAE officials, most notably National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed.
El-Sisi is currently traveling to official egyptian delegation The 2023 World Government Summit (WGS) in Dubai, February 13-15. Egypt will be the guest of honor at the two-day WGS.
This year’s summit has the slogan “Shaping the Government of the Future”.
During the discussion panel, Sisi will explain the Egyptian government’s strategy and priorities at the economic and development levels, presidential spokesman Ahmed Fahmi said earlier.
Egypt’s participation in the session was the largest ever, the spokesman said, adding that it reflected Egypt’s special relationship with the UAE.
Formed in 2013 by a panel of experts, WGS events are held annually in Dubai to provide a platform for government officials and thought leaders.
It also serves as a platform for business leaders and the private sector to learn about government policies, discuss technological innovations, and many other topics.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Senegalese President and African Union Chairman Macky Sarr, Paraguayan President Mario Abdul Benitez, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev 20 other presidents will attend the summit.
The 2023 edition of WGS will also bring together more than 250 ministers, more than 10,000 government officials, thought leaders and global experts, and more than 80 international, regional and governmental organisations, according to Mohammad, UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the WGS Organization.bin abdullah gjawi
