New York — Fan Bingbing stepped out at the 95th Academy Awards on Sunday in sparkling silver and emerald green, heating up the champagne carpet.
The “X-Men” star wore Tony Ward fashions and her hair was sculpted into an old-fashioned Hollywood bob as some of the men in the early walkers brought the sparkle. We’re looking at you Lorenzo Zurzolo. Others, like Brendan Fraser, opted for a traditional black tuxedo.
Fan looked like a queen, while Sofia Carson was a princess in white custom Giambattista Valli haute couture, a stunning statement diamond and emerald necklace accentuating her ball gown with off-the-shoulder, fitted bodice and delicate Diamond cutout at center. Her jewelry comes from Chopard and includes 122.49 carats of emeralds and 92.57 carats of diamonds.
Monica Barbaro practiced carpet walking in a two-tone Elie Saab dark lead and delicate blue chiffon gown with a long train.
“They were the first fashion house to loan me out when no one knew who I was,” she told E!
Jamie Lee Curtis opted for Dolce & Gabbana long-sleeve sparklers, which matched the color of the Oscars’ new off-white rug.
Harvey Guillen and Harry Shum Jr. made a statement of their own, the former in a Christian Siriano coat with silver brocade and a full ruffle coat, the latter in a white evening jacket with a wide belt and black trim.
Lilly Singh, who also donned Siriano, managed to salvage his Oscar look after a water pipe burst in his studio last week. Singh’s magenta trousers were paired with a matching long coat.
