The casualwear brand has opened a new flagship concept store in a prime location in the heart of Mirdif. The revamped store features a unique design aesthetic that embraces nature and the environment, creating a serene atmosphere that brings the outdoors inside. With sustainability at its core, the theme of this striking 200sqm+ retail space is inspired by Springfield’s iconic tree logo.
The new store breathes hope into the brand’s focus on the environment, with the majority of visual materials sourced from suppliers certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, the world’s leading body responsible for the management, conservation and conservation of forests around the world.
As the new fashion season approaches, the store also presents its latest spring-summer 2022 men’s and women’s collections. The new collection features versatile pieces across its different categories – denim, icons and linens, to name a few. The brand is committed to contributing to building a better future by making more sustainable garments, whether through the use of organic or recycled raw materials, or techniques that save water, energy and chemicals in garment finishing.
Springfield launched a plan in 2020 to reforest and create new ecosystems in the brand’s native Spain, with the aim of improving air quality. To date, 90,000 trees have been planted thanks to the initiative. Now, as Springfield grows its roots in the Middle East, it’s turning its sights to positively impacting the region’s environment.
Commenting on the opening, Anuradha Dhawan, General Manager of Al Ghurair Retail, said: “The opening of this flagship store is an exciting time for the UAE fashion industry as we start to see a clear shift in consumer trends towards sustainable options. We Proud to be at the forefront of addressing this change, offering more responsible choices to increasingly eco-conscious shoppers.
“With the launch of this concept store, we are building deeper roots in the region and are planning many exciting green initiatives. We hope our customers and brand lovers will be involved in these projects as we become a regional sustainable Advocate for development,” Dhawan added.
